M.E.L.T Program
M.E.L.T — Mandatory Entry-Level Training
121.5 HoursRequired for all new Class 1 licence applicants in Manitoba
As of September 1, 2019, all new Class 1 licence applicants in Manitoba must complete an approved MELT course before booking their road test. A-One Driving Academy is an approved MELT provider.

P.V.I — Professional Truck Driver Training

Our P.V.I program is a comprehensive 244-hour training program registered under the Private Vocational Institutions Act. Classes start every month and cover everything from basic to advanced commercial driving skills.

Rental Truck for Class 1 MPI Road Test
Show up to your MPI test in a properly equipped Class 1 unit
Don't have access to a truck for your MPI Class 1 road test? We offer rental of our Class 1 training truck so you can take your road test in a vehicle you already know. Our truck is fully equipped, MPI-compliant, and maintained to the highest standards.

- MPI-compliant Class 1 combination unit available for test day
- Manual transmission — the same truck used in training

Air Brake Endorsement Training
Single unit (Z) and combination unit (L) air brake endorsements
Add an air brake endorsement to your Manitoba driver's licence. We offer training for both the single unit (Z endorsement) and combination unit (L endorsement). Our program covers air brake theory, system components, inspection procedures, and practical operation — preparing you to pass the MPI air brake knowledge and skills test.
